| So I was standing on my roof last night drinking a glass of wine, and I had somewhat of an epiphany. I managed to determine the qualities I am looking for in a woman, and they are as such:
-enjoys having fun, and knows when to sacrifice a little in order to have it. -intelligent (i don't want to be fake smiling and pretending to be interested, when I'm really thinking "um...are these things really coming out of her mouth, or am i talking to someone who would lose a debate with a tree?) -contagiously passionate about things. unless it centers around her vanity....no ass or hair-centric women. -easy on the eyes (at least to me)
pluses would include: -likes to go social dancing (swing, salsa, tango, etc) -can go to a museum and not say "i don't get it" or "i could do that" every 10 minutes. -easy on the eyes to everyone else in the world. -gets turned on by motorcycles
the last few things should fall into place if the first four qualities are there.
i don't care so much about cooking, cleaning or being barefoot and pregnant. I can chip into those duties...i like cooking, i can help clean, and i can damn well be barefoot.
Now tell me, is this person so hard to randomly run into during my daily activities?
Ok...so ladies of the world, all i need is a writing sample on the subject of "things I am passionate about" accompanied by an 8x10 glossy. supplementary videos are also encouraged.
| you gotta love New York City. where else can you visit a plethora of museums, eat your fill of delectable thin-sliced pizza, and dance your ass off into the night? As much as i love vancouver with it's fresh and extrordinarily cheap sushi, you just can't beat the big apple.
Some comparisons to New York and Vancouver
New Yorkers are "friendly" Vancouverites are "polite"
New York dance clubs stay open until 6am Vancouver clubs are open until 2am at the latest. (both still have conclusive "last call frenzy" where everyone tries their best to hook up with someone and end up making suspect aesthetic judgements)
New York rats will kick you in the balls if you look at them the wrong way Vancouver rats don't make eye contact
New York has black people Vancouver has maybe....one black person.
*how can I move back?

| Just got back from Beijing and am pretty convinced that Peking Duck is one of the best dishes in existence. It has to be done well though, the skin needs to be crispy and the duck meat tender and not too dry. Nothing too fancy either, just the burrito skins, plum sauce, onions, and the duck meat.
I'm also realizing how much I miss korean food. Went to a korean restaurant and wolfed down like 3 panchang bowls of kim-chee. My sweat smelled like garlic for 2 days. I also had some tasty soju which, after drinking the chinese rice wine (bai jeo) is pretty damn smooth. Kal-bee of course is the gold standard as far as cooking meat is concerned...seriously is there any better way to prepare beef?
| Human arm? Hmm.....you be the judge.
So I'm in Beijing for two weeks teaching a workshop at the Fine Arts Academy here. So far I've been seeing some of the sights and taking in the enormity of this city. Beijing people seem less friendly than in any other city I've visited in china, but it's still early so that might change if they start being nicer to me. Down town there is a Mao Mausoleum where you can go visit Mao's dead body that has been pickled and put on display for people to pay their respects. I tried to go yesterday but it was closed, so i will have to make the trip down later. It will give me time to buy my Comrade uniform and mao buttons so i can show up in style.
Anyone been to Beijing that can give some insights on fun things to do?
